Teaching

I'm retired, so I don't do any teaching nowadays.

In the past I have taught on the following courses (in some cases the materials may still be available on-line):

I sometimes contributed to the Department's professional development course for research students (lg595). It's not normal teaching, but I have played an active part in a the Language and Computation Group seminar, and I keep related materials here (Autumn 2007).

I used to be scheme director for the Masters' Degree in Computational Linguistics (which no longer exists, but there is Web Page for alumni from the Degree).

In the more distant past, I used to teach:

In some cases, materials for these courses is still available on-line.

I also used to teach a course on Corpora (especially using the BNC), the materials are here (LG275 Language Research Skills)

I spent the summer term of 2016 on research leave at the University of Tokyo. While I was there, I gave some lectures, you can find the slides etc. here.
